Sugar Shack opened its doors on Valentine’s Day, 1999
and is located in picturesque Kincardine, Ontario Canada. Tucked away in this lovely lakefront community, the shop is a great place to visit and procure some nice, clean custom work.
Scott Duncan was raised in Kincardine. After high school, he journied to the big city of Toronto to attend the Ontario College of Art. Scott dedicated himself to his tattoo apprenticeship and his quest for knowledge took him all over Europe and Eastern North America. Scott has tattooed in Germany, Sweden, NYC, Canandaigua, Paris, Toronto,
Brussells and Hamilton.
Scott’s true love is tattooing, but he also enjoys drawing, painting, silkscreen, pinstriping and lettering. He has been a DJ (Sugar Daddy Moth) since 1994. Scott is in the process of building a custom motorcycle, is quite fond of camping and ties his own flies. He is a budding organic farmer and expert chicken wrangler. He is a husband, a devoted father of one toddler and one little peanut still in utero.
The shop is also home to Scott’s longtime friend and fellow tattooer, Jarkko Holopainen and his apprentice Melanie Wayland. Tattooers
Tim Kern (Tribulation Tattoo, NYC) and Dave Allen (Five Fathoms, BC) do guest spots with regularity.
